Last night, I heard Mr. Ding-A-Ling blare what my friend Carrie called a “watered-down” version of “the Entertainer.” The white ice cream truck and its delcious treats has played that song since I was a small child. So, a random thought came to me: Why doesn’t Mr. Ding-A-Ling play, I don’t know, a Hannah Montana song to attract kids to its delicious ice cream treats?( It seems that these days, kids are products of the media. Example: you can’t go ANYWHERE without seeing Hannah Montana on a label. We’re talking toys, clothes, even yogurt! [yes, YOGURT!]). If Mr. Ding-A-Ling is supposed to be ”kid-friendly”, why does he still continue to play “old fashioned” songs?
I don’t know. Just a random thought.

While reading the June issue of Alternative Press Magazine, I came across an ad for an organization called “Rock For Health”. I didn’t know there was a program that gave money to traveling musicians for their health insurance. The ad said that 96% of musicians lack health care-that’s alot!!! Maybe I’ll throw them a couple bucks. It would be awful if your favorite band couldn’t tour because they lacked health insurance, wouldn’t it?
