About
Our Troy Campus is located on ten acres in a historic downtown area, and is surrounded by neighborhoods of stately Victorian brownstones.
Within the region, Troy is rapidly becoming the focal point for the fine arts. As an integral part of the growing artistic community, Sage’s Troy campus is home to the New York State Theatre Institute(NYSTI), where young people flock from as far away as Germany. In addition, we are within walking distance of the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall, world-renowned for its superb acoustics, the Rensselaer County Historical Society and the Rensselaer County Center for the Arts, which serves the entire Capital Region.
This Blog is dedicated to finding all those hidden (or not so hidden in some cases) gems around the Sage’s Troy campus. Findings include places to eat, relaxing getaways, one-of-a-kind stores, and even those places you already know about – but maybe we can put a new twist on it for you.
If you have any suggestions for places to check out, or want to see a larger list of places to go, check out our Around Town: Troy pages on sage.edu.
